Simon Cheesman, MA (Communication and Media Studies), has worked in the fields of telemedicine and healthcare innovation for over 20 years. Simon has launched a number of large-scale, technology-enabled healthcare services that pioneer new models of care, including a province-wide telemedicine scheduling system handling hundreds of thousands of scheduled clinical consults, and Ontario’s ‘Telehomecare’ program providing chronic-disease management to thousands of older adults. Most recently, Simon managed the Centre for Aging and Brain Health Innovation’s project management and acceleration services, Canada’s largest solution accelerator aimed at the seniors’ care sector. He now directs Baycrest’s new, multi-year Baycrest@Home initiative.
