Christopher has been a leader of healthcare innovation and transformation in both the private sector and military for more than 20 years. He joined HCA Healthcare in 2014, and is the Vice President of Telehealth Services. His team is responsible for the enterprise strategy and operations of telehealth programs distributed across 25 states.
Prior to joining HCA, Christopher spent seven years with Humana. While there, he led the Clinical Innovations division, where he was focused on the strategic development and operations of clinical decision support solutions and telehealth programs. Previously, he served on Active Duty as an Army Medical Service Corps Officer, and was the Director of the Army’s Operational Telemedicine Programs. In this role, he was responsible for telemedicine programs in support of Department of Defense and Coalition Forces deployed worldwide. His other Army assignments include the 82nd Airborne Division, the 3rd Infantry Division, the 44th Medical Brigade, and the Joint Staff at the Pentagon. Additionally, he still serves in the Army Reserve as the Chief of Medical Intelligence in the 3rd Medical Command (Deployment Support) focused on Health Service Support & Force Health Protection Operations for United States Central Command (CENTCOM).
Christopher holds a B.A. from the University of Kentucky, an M.S. in Applied Information Technology from Bellarmine University, and is a Graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Telemedicine Association (ATA), and REBOOT Combat Recovery, whose mission is to assist Veterans recover from PTSD related to their experiences in combat. Christopher and his wife, Lindsay, live in Nashville, TN with their four children, Isabelle, Kate, Sam and William.
